Sinead Harrison joined StatisticaMedica as a Junior Biostatistician in 2023 and has progressed to a Biostatistician Level 2 role. Sinead has a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics from University College Cork, Ireland, and a Degree in Applied Mathematics and an Honours Degree in Mathematical Statistics from University of Pretoria, South Africa. Sinead has completed an accredited level of training in CDISC (SDTM and ADaM) and SAS programming standards in addition to ongoing GCP certification since joining StatisticaMedica.
Sinead is the internal project lead and lead programmer on several projects at StatisticaMedica. She is also the lead writer on key statistical documents, such as statistical analysis plans, statistical management plans and the statistical section of study protocols. Sinead’s study responsibilities include the programming of analysis datasets, including CDISC (SDTM and ADaM), interim analysis programming, and providing input into the programming and validation of data outputs (e.g., tables, figures and listings) for statistical analyses. In addition, she contributes to sampling frameworks, sample size calculations, statistical analyses, exploratory analyses, and data quality control activities, as well as data storage and archiving. Sinead supports the junior team through tasks such as reviewing programming documentation and checking statistical output. As a Biostatistician Level 2, Sinead is developing her client-facing activities, including attending client meetings and taking meeting minutes. She also attends international conferences. Sinead’s background in data science and data analytics plays a key part in her ability to interpret data and extract useful insights from the statistical output produced by the StatisticaMedica team.
